Who are we?
We are Guido, Luca, and Matteo, three young residents of Venice who dream of continuing to live and work in the city of water.
Signor Blum was established in 1978 in Venice as an experimental artisan workshop that gradually specialized in woodworking, focusing on interlocking objects. This approach transformed the workshop into a benchmark for local craftsmanship, thanks to its distinctive and recognizable style.
In 2023, after over forty years of activity, Francesca Bampa, Francesca Grandese, and Laura Turchetto, the three artisans who had run the workshop until then, passed the torch to us, a new trio of artisans. With passion and dedication, they shared the secrets of this delicate manual work, allowing us to continue what they had built over time.
Although we do not have a background as artisans, we decided to accept this challenge to ensure the continuation of this quality craftsmanship, believing strongly in the style and identity that have made it unique.
We are aware of the privilege this opportunity represents: being able to combine our passion for creative and manual work with the desire to contribute to keeping alive the social and cultural fabric of Venice, a unique city that we want to preserve and enhance through our daily commitment.
