Who are we?

We are Guido, Luca and Matteo, three young residents of Venice who dream of being able to continue living and working in the city of water.

Signor Blum was founded in 1978 in Venice as an experimental artisan workshop that gradually specialized in woodworking, with a focus on interlocking objects. This approach has transformed the workshop into a reference for local craftsmanship, thanks to a distinctive and recognizable style.

In 2023, after more than forty years in business, Francesca Bampa, Francesca Grandese and Laura Turchetto, the three craftswomen who had run the workshop up to this date, passed the baton to us, a new trio of artisans. With passion and dedication they have passed on to us the secrets of this delicate manual labor, allowing us to continue what they have built over time.

Although we do not have a background as artisans, we decided to accept this challenge to keep this reality of quality craftsmanship going, believing very much in the style and identity that have made it unique.

We are aware of the privilege this opportunity represents: to be able to combine a passion for creative and manual work with the desire to help keep alive the social and cultural fabric of Venice, a unique city that we want to preserve and enhance with our daily commitment.
